The First Signal from the New Studio
It’s been a minute. After stepping back to tear down, rebuild, and properly dial in the new studio workspace, the very first outputs under the simplified Bromide moniker are officially ready to leave the monitors.
While the murky delays and cavernous sub-bass are still firmly in the signal path, this three-track collection leans heavily into the House DJ DNA that has always underpinned the project. Three tracks, three distinctly different flavours of groove.

Started on a lazy Sunday when there was no pressure to hit a specific grid. It’s deep, atmospheric, and distinctly jazzy House—built around a warm, unhurried groove that felt right for a quiet afternoon behind the desk.
Heaven
A conscious pushback against modern attention spans. I was recently listening back to Kruder & Dorfmeister’s iconic remix of Depeche Mode’s ‘Useless’ and was reminded of an era when a track was actually allowed the space to breathe and build—far beyond today’s standard three-and-a-half-minute streaming limit. It takes its time, layering textures over an extended, deep rhythm.
Modulate
Inspired by the raw grit of classic early Wiggle releases. This one is slightly trashy, loose around the edges, and dialed in for one primary purpose: a proper, heavy head-bump.
It feels good to have the studio recalibrated and music flowing again. These are the first prints off the new signal chain, and they represent a lot of fun behind the desk.
